Senior Java Developer (Parramatta)

As a senior developer, you will lead the design, development and maintenance of software applications to support the product and business objectives of the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Write applications that support the ongoing development, management and maintenance systems
* Work with Producers, Project Managers Front End Developers and Operations to progress the project and aid in maintenance
* Constructively challenge and discuss opportunities/alternatives
* Constant improvement using new technologies (showcase and deploy)
* Document both source code as well as technical documentation as required
* Mentor/teach other team members on requirements and techniques for application development.

Key Requirements:

* 7+ years solid development experience with OO Java/JSP in a dynamic, fast-paced application development environment
* Must have strong skills in using Spring, Hibernate, Tapestry frameworks, Struts and SOAP/AXIS.
* Detailed knowledge of web application architecture and infrastructure
* Detailed and demonstrated Agile or XP programming techniques
* Experience building/managing/deploying large scale and/or complex enterprise web applications
* Experience with Linux (primarily Red Hat) and Solaris
* At least one secondary language (Perl, PHP, Ruby, etc.)
