Senior Java Developer - Major Consumer Electronics Brand - Web Services - Amsterdam - Contract

My client is a leading Developer and Manufacturer of Embedded Electrical Products, supporting various Industries including Automotice, Retail, Lifestlye for example. They are recruiting a number of experienced Java Developers, who will contribute to upholding and developing the Server Side systems, that will support their web-services used by millions of customers.

You will work with a wide diversity of technologies including Cloud Computing (AWS),Git, Maven, Jenkins Shell Scripts, etc., to help our Customer create and extend web-services for specific location coding and search-engine improvement.

This is a contract opportunity, that will be rolled out, on a 6 monthly basis!

The criteria for consideration is as follows:

- You will be a senior Developer with Java - a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Good experience working within an Agile (SCRUM) environment.
- Further knowledge of the Linux Operating system.
- Experience of developinf solutions with CI (Jenkins), AWS, Maven or Git is a plus.
- Able to investigate and implement algorithms improving performance and results accuracy.
- Experience of developing within a Consumer Electronics Company would be advantageous.
- Create the Server Side systems that handle logic for multiple TomTom web services used by millions of users
- Able to create and the tool chain for map data pre-processing or other Embedded-software related products.
- You will design architecture ideas that may improve the present product offering.
- FLUENT IN ENGLISH, BOTH WRITTEN AND ORAL - Dutch would be advantageous, however not essential!
