Senior Java Developer Job

SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER NEEDED FOR A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Five (5+) years of Back End services and Front End web development
- Spring, Hibernate, JAXB

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- In order to support the consolidation between Progress and Duke Energy, a position of Senior Java Developer is available in the Supply Chain, Work and Asset Management team. We are looking for a Java Developer with at least 5 years of Java development experience in both Back End services area and Web Front End.
- Follow a software implementation methodology, adhering to all required deliverables within the individual's responsibility and each project phase.
- Author Detailed Design Documents based on a combination of interpreting approved written functional designs and clarification discussions with other team members.
- Hands-on coding of both the web Front End and Back End parts of the application.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Backend Required:
- Spring Integration, JAXB, Hibernate
- Backend Nice To Have:
- Experience with WebSphere MQ and experience with JMS overall could also be a plus
- Web Front End
- Primefaces (we are targeting 5.1), Primefaces Extensions (targeting 3.0), JSF 2.x and JEE in general, Spring Core, Hibernate, JAXB, PDF generation (itext/pdfbox/etc), JCIFS, Apache POI.
- If the candidate has prior experience with other UI JSF frameworks like RichFaces or similar it would be a plus.
- Ability to follow a software implementation methodology, adhering to all required deliverables within the individual's responsibility and each project phase.
- Authoring of Detailed Design Documents based on a combination of interpreting approved written functional designs and clarification discussions with other team members.
- Hands-on coding of both the web Front End and Back End parts of the application.
- Experience in translating functional requirements into a comprehensive design document.
- Proactively researches solutions with self-reliant problem solving skills.
- Clear and concise oral communication skills
- Clear written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a matrixed team environment, with employees and consultants.
- Experience in fully custom software implementations a plus.
- Education: Bachelors Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience
