Senior Java Developer- London. My client is a large insurance company who are looking at expanding their current team and are in need for a Senior Java Developer to help the team design and develope software for the companies personal and coporate insurance products.

Key skills:

* Java (JEE)
* Spring
* HTML
* CSS
* Hibernate

Desirable skills:

* SQL database
* Web Services- SOAP, REST
* XML

The ideal candidate would have either a financial or insurance industry background with a significant amount of Java experience and a Qualification such as at Degree Level or equivalent.

As you will be working with a large team, it is important to be a team player as well as having interpersonal and good customer facing skills allowing you to settle into the working environment well.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Java Developer will be:

* Developing the system using Java technologies and SQL
* Supporting the production
* Mentoring and encouraging the other team members when necessary
* Being the face of the team when dealing with business stakeholders
