Senior Java Developer to Work in Top-Tier Investment Bank Salary: Competitive + benefits + bonuses London - Canary Wharf Permanent Tier 1 Visa / Perm Residency / British Citizenship Join a global Investment Bank's IT Team within a core section of its Prime Services division as a Senior Java Developer with excellent scope for management responsibilities. You will join the Prime Services division - a successful team which promotes future career progression with a direct line to management responsibilities. You will be developing bespoke components and interfaces using advanced languages and methodologies. This is a key position within the team where you will play an important part in developing strategic systems. You'll have the opportunity to take on development and mentoring of other team members, whilst maintaining close relationships with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders for the system. This is a challenging position and the firm requires you to have: - 6+ years of multi-threaded, core Java developing experience, where you should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivery. - Experience developing functional components using distributed caching technologies like Coherence and messaging technologies like MQ. - Experience in Investment Banking systems development. - Specific knowledge of the Financial Services industry. - A 2:1/1st Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics/Information Systems etc? - Java 1.5+, UNIX (Linux, Solaris) Database (e.g. Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL Server?); Scripting Experience, Caching technologies.
