Senior Java Developer (GIS Oriented)

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Java developer (GIS oriented) for our client based in Brussels, Belgium - Looking for a software engineer that would evolve to a GIS developer

The person will carry out the following tasks:

- maintenance and evolution of applications and test frameworks
- design/code reviews
- maintenance of the map design documentation
- bug fixing activities
- participate to the analysis/design of the changes
- prototyping

The person selected will mainly develop services and frameworks.
The person does not have to know the GIS technology but it would be an advantage.
He/she will also probably be called to participate to its further evolution. Development is here intended not only as pure software implementation but it includes activities such as production of technical notes, implementation of unit tests, and refactoring.

Expected activities

Design, development and maintenance.
Learn GIS technology and in particular LuciadLightSpeed and LuciadRIA
On-call support for about 3-4 weeks a year during the applications migration.
Development and maintenance of unit tests.
Prototyping of new architecture or features.
Skills
Experience in Object Oriented Analysis, design and programming
Extensive Java and Javascipt knowledge
Experience in Application Server Weblogic or similar
Experience with open source tools based on Java, Web 2.0 technologies and IDE like Eclipse
Experience in the mission critical application development.
Experience in unit testing
Optionnal experience with GIS library(eg LuciadRIA, LuciadLightSpeed)
Optional Experience with GWT/Sencha,
Optional Experience in GIT, Graddle
Optional Spring Cloud configuration, ActiveMQ, Logstash, ElasticSearch, Kibana
Ability to learn
