Senior Java Developer/Galleria Mall Area/100-110K

Growing and well-established company has an immediate need for a Senior Java Developer on a direct hire basis.

In this role, you will work on a team of 8 other developers and focus almost 100% on support and migration. The company has a system from a purchased company and the original developer is on contract to provide a transition. This position will be the main support for the system going forward and provide assistance to migrate pieces to other systems. This is a unique opportunity to be irreplaceable out of the gate and then be involved in how the system and the job move forward. The company is looking for a good deal of maturity, development and support.

Responsibilities:

- Work with current system SME to garner a sufficient knowledge of the system and components to become third tier support.
- Document each system to create support documentation.
- Take on 3rd tier support designation for all system components.
- Contribute to the planning/execution of systems integration with the Company's Solutions systems.
- Build strong internal relationships with the Network Operations Center and tier 2 support organizations.

Requirements:

- 8+ years Java application development and support.
- UNIX (Linux, Solaris)
- Strong network programming skills (TCP/IP/sockets).
- Very strong SQL relational database skills (PostGreSQL preferred, MySQL)
- Scripting (Perl, Shell) preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
