Senior Java Developer - Financial Firm - San Francisco - 130k

My client, a financial firm inSan Francisco, is in need of a java expert to join a team of elite developers building out the firm's APIs and internet based applications for their global clientele. Thousands of financial institutions and active traders, as well as hundreds of software and service providers, subscribe to this firms fixed income evaluations, real-time market data, fixed income analytics, desktop solutions and web-based solutions. This firm prides itself on delivering delivers a comprehensive set of products and services designed to meet the needs of the front, middle and back offices at some of the largest and most well-known institutions around the world. On a day to day basis, this candidate must be capable of designing, reviewing, analyzing and modifying applications including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot issues and work with the appropriate resources/parties to resolve them. A wide range of discretion and judgment is expected of the candidate in order to work independently to plan and accomplish goals. Requirements for this role: * 5 - 8 years of server side Java programming (NOT J2ee!) * SDLC experience as applicable to current development group processes. Ability to adhere to group standards as well as influence positive change to current processes. * Experience with build management (ANT, Maven) * Experience with Source Control Management (CVS, SVN) * 2-3 years of financial development experience - market data highly preferred! * Must have RMDS experience This is a full-time role and the salary for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 with a performance bonus and benefits.
