Senior Java Developer - Brussels

Senior JAVA Developer - Brussels - €408 per day.

I'm working with a large service provider who have a client based in Brussels and require 2 Senior Java Developers to work with their partner. As well as French, if you have a good grasp of oral and written English that would be a bonus. You will contribute to the evolution of the components and the required integration with other systems.

Furthermore you will participate in the technical analysis, documentation, implementation, integration, test and early life support of core software tools and assets produced in the context of a Program.

The role involves:
Development
Analysis & Design
Implementation
Unit and Integration testing
Deployment
Assistance to functional testing
Creation and update of technical and functional documentation
Early-Life production support and maintenance
Development and deployment of patches, workaround and evolutions
Monitoring
Handover of activity to other teams
Preparation of handover material (documents and presentations)
Training & coaching
Preparation and conduction of handover workshops
Open Source
Implement an open source strategy and design.

Experience/Knowledge:
Minimum of 8+ years of proven knowledge of web and J2EE related technologies (Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate etc.)
Proven experience developing with JavaScript
Proven knowledge of jQuery framework.
Technical experience in the domain of XML
Proven knowledge on XML schemas
Proven knowledge of Web services technologies
Proven experience in RESTful and/or SOAP
Proven experience in Service Oriented Architecture and related technologies
Proven experience in continuous integration and team software development related tools
Proven experience developing with GWT is an asset but not mandatory
Capability to draft documentation and technical specifications in particular
Proven knowledge of UML modelling
Proven experience in Relational Databases design.
