Senior Java Developer (Asset Allocation):

One of the world's largest providers of financial services is seeking a Senior Java Application Developer. The Java application developer will work within the Asset Allocation Technology (AAT) application development team. In this role you will work closely with the business partners in a fast paced evolving environment. In addition to working on asset allocation applications, the Java developer will also specialize in creating risk management tools, portfolio analytics, asset/liability modeling, and investment planning tools for individual investors.

Java Developer Responsibilities:

* Participate in planning, design, development, and implementation for multiple initiatives
* Develop systems with Agile development methodologies and principles
* Conduct studies of alternatives; analyzes and recommends changes to development procedures; participates in architecture design
* Develop technical system design documents

Java Developer Skills:

* Expertise with Java programming language, experience with OOD and Modeling, and knowledge of Unix/Linux environments is required
* 5+ years of software development experience implementing solutions in a Java based environment
* 3+ years of financial services industry
* Systems: Red Hat Linux, Windows XP Professional, Windows 2003 Server, Oracle 10g
* Languages: Java (Core and Servlet), SQL, HTML, Javascript, CSS
* Software Libraries: Spring, Apache myBatis, Apache Axis2, AspectJ, JQuery
* Skills: Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, J2EE concepts, Agile development methodology
