Senior Java Developer/Architect
For a leading client in the financial sector in Brussels, we are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer/Architect for a 6 months + contract.
You should speak French or Dutch fluently + English
Job Description
* You are a key player in the development of complex IT projects.
* You develop high quality software, assuring the highest possible stability, performance, readability and maintainability.
* You will be in charge and maintenance of technical analysis, development, test and documentation of new applications.
* You will coach new entrants (internal and external resources) to the architecture, the development standards and the deliverables of the projects.
Profile
* You have been playing a key role as developer in larger ICT projects or, even better, in product development.
* You have been key person in projects applying Java technology (5 years or more experience) and have therefore proven experience in some combination of various technologies
- Back End Java technologies like POJO, JEE, EJB3, JPA, Hibernate, Spring 3
- Client side technologies like Java (JSF/RichFaces), Adobe Flex and/or Javascript
- Web- or JEE containers like Apache HTTPD, Jetty, Apache Tomcat or JBoss AS
- Application life cycle tools like Maven, Subversion and Hudson
- Development Tools like editors, IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse
- Databases (MySQL, Sybase)
- XML technologies (XSLT, XML Schema, WSDL, SOAP)
- Operating systems Windows and Linux
* You master and practice the concepts of
- Application Lifecycle management (releases, branches, tags, versions, ticketing, etc)
- Object Orientation and UML Modelling
- Relational database s(SQL, transactions, indexes, constraints ) and object-relational mapping
- SOA and ReST architectures
- Business Process Modelling and rule based engines
- Client Server, WEB/HTTP and Rich Internet Application (RIA) models
* You have experience with Agile development (Test driven development, Scrum, Sprint planning)
