Senior Java Developer

This is an exclusive opportunity to work for one of our leading financial services clients in Zurich. We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to be part of the Order Management team. Our Client is leading the way in the market and now moves direction to micro services.

The team is now looking for a new team member who brings good experience as a Java Backend Developer and who can support the department making them Cloud ready!

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Senior Software engineer, who is capable to pick up tasks related to the life cycle of product development, this includes the contact with stakeholders, gathering requirements and analysis, design of architecture, implementation, design and write different types of tests, packaging, deployment, support and maintenance software in production; know and understand Agile methodology and its tools.

THE SKILLS YOU WILL BRING:

- MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A JAVA DEVELOPER (JAVA 8+)
- SPRING BOOT
- Good understanding of the Java technology fundamentals in Real Time transaction
- Good experience with low latency platform and multithreaded code
- Test automation
- Good OO Design and programming
- Very good organizational, problem solving and written & verbal communication skills
- Experience in financial services
- Advantage: DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Fluent in English

The role is English speaking - German is nice to have but not mandatory. Based in Zürich, the contract will be 12 months, with the potential to extend beyond this.
