Senior Java Developer

Our direct client in Whitehouse Station, NJ is looking for a Senior Java Developer for a 6 month contract, with possible hire at the end of the contract duration. This is an excellent opportunity to prove your skills in a large corporate environment.

- Implementing technical requirements as part of the application development process
- Code development related to adding or changing functionally in the company System
- User Interface development and maintenance
- Communicating with team members, business owners/analysts, technical governance and support personnel as required
- Providing support to the business partners
- Documenting detailed business/technical requirements and acting as a principal facilitator with the business partners
- Ensuring delivered functionality meets the quality and functional specifications of the business partner
- Unit testing of related programming changes
- Understanding the users current working practices, analysing the business/user requirements and translating those into functional requirements, performing a gap analysis between the identified requirements and the application and recommending appropriate solutions
- Develop an understanding of Business objectives, development tools, and technologies used

Required:

- 7 years Java development/design/deployment experience
- 4+ years experience with HTML, XML, XSL/XSLT
- 4+ years experience with JSP's and JavaScript
- Experience with relationsal databases, preferably DB2
