Senior Java Developer

Who are we looking for?

Glocomms is currently recruiting for a Senior Java Developer for a cutting edge technology organisation based near Amsterdam. This is a minimum 6 Month contract and are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Skills:

Strong Java based development experience (mainly core Java with knowledge of JEE) within a Unix/Linux environment.
Familiarity with Java world trends such as frameworks, libraries, design approaches.
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008, including stored procedures and functions, SQL Management Studio and SQL Server database administration knowledge.
Demonstrable knowledge of T-SQL(Scripting, Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting) and familiarity with MS SQL
Experience in the design and implementation of web-based, service-oriented and database based systems.
Good working knowledge of Javascript (ExtJS, jQuery), HTML,CSS (intermediate knowledge needed ).
Unix/Linux Scripting. Good understanding of business facing Linux stack, (not to a Kernel level but good hands on exposure). Experience with Linux troubleshooting, tuning utilities and Linux administration, (especially Debian).
