Java Developer contract
My City Centre client are looking for a Java contractor for an initial 6/12 month contract to work across a number of different teams.
They are looking for the followingEssential
Educated to degree level in IT discipline
Java SE/EE, Spring, Hibernate, XML, Informix
Strong Java EE experience, including EJB 3.0, JAX-WS, JPA
Strong Spring experience: Core, JDBC, Remoting, Batch, Integration
Strong knowledge of OO concepts, Design Patterns (EIP, PEAA, GoF) and UML
Strong DB experience: data model design, SQL query design & optimisation (ideally Informix/SQL Server)
Industry frameworks/API knowledge (eg Hibernate)
Some XML programming skills: JAXP, JAXB, XSLT etc
Automated testing experience such as JUnit, mocking frameworks etc
Desirable
JIRA and related tools (Bamboo, Fisheye, Crucible)
Ant & Maven
JEE Application Servers (eg. JBoss)
Eclipse & SVN
BI/Data Warehousing, using SSIS and SQL Server
Experience of working in Agile development environment
Experience in an IT role focused on Investment and Banking systems
