Senior Java Developer

A top asset management firm in Downtown Boston is looking to add a senior Java developer to the portfolio implementation team.

The firm is on-boarding a contractor for a 6month contract with the potential for extension or turning full time. They are compensating for a senior level developer.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years core Java experience
- Strong web services experience (RESTful)
- Java Spring framework experience
- Dependency Injection experience a plus (Google Guice)
- Maven experience a plus

The portfolio implementation team is a growing team, and is made up of strong technologists from varying development backgrounds. For this reason, financial services experience would be a plus, but is not nearly as important as technical expertise. The team is in the process of determining new frameworks to be used for projects going forward, and this person would be an integral part in that decision making process, as well as new development.
