Senior Java Contractor (TDD) - Dublin

SENIOR JAVA CONTRACTOR - TEST DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT (TDD) - DAILY RATES

This is a 6 month contract initially with a view to extension. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work with an expanding team working on cutting edge technologies with a multi-national bank in Dublin.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical requirements analysis, design, estimation, development and deployment
Creation and maintenance of automated tests (unit, integration and acceptance)
Educating and mentoring less experienced team members

REQUIREMENTS

Must have:
Track record of TEST DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT on to existing large enterprise systems
Track record of adhering to clean code principles
Experience in Java or other OO language
Experience of Specification by Example/ATDD/BDD
 Five or more years experience of hands-on development (Server Side, core rather than GUI)
Excellent communication & collaborative working skills etc.
Experience developing on high performance and high availability systems
Passion for developing best in class technology solutions
A desire for continual self improvement through learning & development

Desirable:
Experience of SQL/PSQL
Experience of Scrum/Agile methods
Experience of C
Experience of ProC
Investment banking experience
Scala
Experience in using design patterns
