Senior Java Contractor - Hadoop (x2) - Dublin

SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER - HADOOP - DAILY RATE CONTRACT - X2

These positions are 3 month contracts initially with a view to extension, top rates on offer.

The successful candidates must have a genuine interest in learning new technologies and a demonstrated history of understanding and contributing to the total end-to-end solution.

KEY SKILLS:

- Degree in technology related area
- 4+ years Java programming experience
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming methodologies
- Experience developing massive volume data crunching/reporting solutions
- Hadoop
- Creative problem solver with analytical approach
- Experience with Python or other Scripting language
- Hands-on experience with common developer tools (Ant, Eclipse, SVN etc.)
- Knowledge of XML/SOAP and Web services
- Test driven development
- Strong experience working in Linux environments
- Experience in database technologies and development such as Oracle, OLAP or MySQL a plus
- Data mining/pattern detection a huge plus
- Reporting Front End development a plus
