Description
As a Senior Instructional Designer you will design training material (Video, E-learning, Print out material, etc.) for end users and Service Desks agents for the Windows 10+ project (Windows 10, MS Office 2016 and IE11).

Background:
The client has launched the project for the global Windows 10 migration and is seeking support for the project. The following items will be upgraded:
Windows 7 to Windows 10
Internet Explorer 10 to Internet Explorer 11
Microsoft Office 2010 to Microsoft Office 2016
This translates to an impact on the client globally (all sites and business functions) as well as the support processes and tools. Furthermore the project is expected to have many dependencies to other business and IT endeavours that need to be identified and managed accordingly.
To help the organization familiarize itself with the new solution, the project has already started handing out the first Windows 10 test installations to a small group of IT users ( Early Adopters) and will continue to do so until the pilot phase and the actual rollout.
Job Title
Senior Instructional Designer (Training expert)
Purpose/Location
The role will report to the OCM Lead. The focus will be on creating blended training including both classroom, videos and elearning. The job holder will be expected to identify and create training materials. The job holder will be expected to serve as a subject matter expert in training development and design within the project.
Existing client in-house standards and services for training shall be adhered to and leveraged as much as possible.
Working language is English, additional languages a plus
Location: Basel area, Switzerland
Remote work an option up to 20%, prior approval required.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Work with OCM Manager, to adjust and implement Training Plans.
Apply a structured methodology to design and develop training courses for employees and Service Desk agents.
Prepare training material (depending on the requirements (E-learning, videos,..)
Design, and develop training workshops
Support training efforts
Develop instructional strategies
Implement evaluation measures to gather user satisfaction
Responsible for the production of training materials in a variety of formats including classroom training, elearning, videos,...
Provide assistance to trainers
Skills & Qualifications
5 years of relevant experience in multinational company related to trainings
Sound knowledge of Instructional Designer concepts and elearning technologies ( Articulate Presenter/Storyline and Quizmaker- TT Knowledge Force (TTKF) Adobe Captivate Lectora)
Experience with preparing videos (Adobe Premiere as Software)
Implementation strategies
Experience in training needs, analysis, and curriculum design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English).
Structured approach, problem-solver, flexible and self-directed with communication skills able to work independently.
Strong interest in new technologies and familiar with the Google Suite.
Experience of working in IT project implementation projects.
Strong technical writing, editing and proofreading skills
High attention to detail
Excellent graphic Design Skills
High proficiency in working virtually is essential
Nice to Have
+++ Formal ID certification
+++ Experience in desktop migration projects a plus/related to trainings
++ German-speaking
