Senior IT Quality Assurance Analyst

Our client is a signature Northwest company looking for a SENIOR IT QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST to assist in implementing a platform solution for its store development partners.

You will be part of a SCRUM team and will help define the quality of the deliverables. You will then lead the testing efforts in ensuring that every sprint delivery is of agreed upon quality. Strong collaboration skill is a key to being successful in this role. You will have a wonderful opportunity to make a positive difference in the outcome of each sprint and eventually the final product by partnering with developers, analysts, product owner and other teams on a regular basis. You will be identifying relevant test scenarios and writing test cases throughout the project. You will also manage the complete life cycle of testing within your SCRUM team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Work experience in software requirements, development or testing with creating and executing quality assurance test plans, scenarios, cases, checklists and scripts: 5 years
- Expert level understanding of QA methodologies and best practices
- IBM Tririga application functional testing experience
- 2+ years' experience being part of Agile/SCRUM teams
- Experience in software requirements, development, and testing activities with multiple, simultaneous quality assurance efforts, and a track record as a contributor with providing quality assurance support in an analyst capacity, including tools development and usage
- Demonstrated collaboration on project teams and interaction with project managers, business and functional analysts, developers and the business community directly related to quality assurance responsibilities and roles
- Demonstrated test management processes and technical skills, including an understanding of manual and automated test execution and performance related tools
- Demonstrated knowledge using version control and defect tracking methods, including an understanding of associated tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

- Experience in a retail industry
- Familiarity with store development concepts such as real estate, construction, facilities management, design and leasing

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Supervises and performs complex system and problem analysis associated with applications development and test management activities encompassing project, release, and sustainment efforts. Constructs and reviews test plans, scenarios, cases and scripts, ensuring that requirement coverage is adequate and business requirements, functional specifications and designs are linked to test artifacts. Participates in requirements and design review. Facilitates architecting, designing, and implementing new and existing testing tools and methods.
