SUMMARY:

Our client is the industry leader in the Financial Market Data space and is looking for a Sr. IT Project Manager that will be responsible for carrying out the project management process within the organization to include: planning, executing, and managing projects within the defined scope, quality, budget and schedule established in the project plan. This is a 6 month contract with an opportunity to extend.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Management of technical project(s) from initiation to implementation, including planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and roll out
- Lead business-side project planning and execution from projects through the SDLC process
- Manage business portfolio relationships and dependencies as well as overall integration and issue resolution
- Ensure efficient distribution of organizational resources between the various business teams
- Align project management resources into larger program schedules, supervise and direct activities of the Software Engineering team

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5 + years of PM experience using structured methodology (ITIL, Rational Rose, Oracle, Method One etc)
- 3 + years of experience working directly with business owners
- 3 + years of working with IT application-level projects (Java environment preferred)
- PMP certification highly preferred
- 4 year degree
- MS Project

SALARY - Depends on experience and expertise
