Senior IT Expert - ISP

High senior role, CTO/CIO responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Audit, review and assess an existing nationwide IT design & architecture
-Make recommendations on any changes in design, as well as configuration of various platforms (Switches & Routers etc)
-Make recommandations on how to improve Internet filtering at a national level
-Offer on the job training to ISP's existing staff on network design and configuration as well as best practice for things such as filtering, caching, Firewalls, traffic dimensioning,etc
-Possibly a review of ISP's existing processes and procedures
-Equipment on site - mostly CISCO and some ZTE. No NOC,one is planned

REQUIREMENTS:

-Minimum 15 years experience in an IT environment
-Degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent
-Significant previous experience with ISPs
-CCIE is an advantage
-Expertise in the engineering of the Internet - ROUTING, RESILIENCY, FILTERING, CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORKS ETC
-Solid communications skills with fluency in English

LOCATION: Kabul, Afghanistan

SALARY: 800-900USD per day

transport, VISA, flights, accommodation, travel, per diem for food, communications, etc provided 6 working days per week

DURATION: 3 months extendable START DATE: ASAP
