Location
Pre-dominantly Luxembourg based although considerable time may be needed in various local Operating Companies; notably UK and potentially Germany.

Purpose of Role

The role holder reports directly to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) IT Director and will work closely with peers, particularly the Head of IT Professional Services who has a spend budget of approximately €1bn per annum.

This spend category manages all aspects of IT Procurement excluding IT hardware and software licensing. The focus being predominantly on managing large-scale Outsourcing agreements, high-value IT enabled change and transformation programmes, applications development and applications management contracts on a global basis.

Working closely with the Head of IT Professional Services the role holder will provide strategic direction to a small team of procurement professionals, to support the provision of a world-class procurement service that delivers competitive advantage to the Group.

The role holder will need to fully understand and articulate the Group IT and Group IT Sourcing strategy with individual Group Operating Companies and to work with the local companies in:
* Deploying appropriate Procurement programmes within the IT Professional Service portfolio
* Taking an active role in senior level supplier management and governance activities (eg quarterly reviews with key suppliers)
* Supporting local Operating Companies in the management of local delivery from suppliers, particularly in the event of critical contractual and non-performance issues

The role holder will provide and own a customer-centric management approach and make a significant contribution to the profitability of the Group by ensuring stakeholder requirements are agreed, aligned and executed.

As a senior Group representative you will also be responsible for managing the relationship with key suppliers, leading the team (or parts of the team) often in a multi-functional contributor culture, in ensuring suppliers meet contractual performance agreements and obtain value-for money year-on-year. In addition the post will be part of the escalation procedure for serious service/supply failures.
