Senior IT/Business Project Manager - Markets/OTC Reforms

Finance company is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager in the Global Markets space. You will have solid experience working between IT and the Business. You must have Global Markets experience ideally within OTC reforms. You will be a self starter and be able to challenge current processes as you manage relationships across both IT and the Business. This is a 12 month fixed term contract located in the city.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Working across a range of projects providing governance regarding financial forecasts, documentation requirements, status reporting, strategic alignment
- Assessment of project health across a range of projects including the driving of corrective action plans
- Identify, highlight and resolve key issues relating to delivery, budget, resources
- Planning for new projects, ie preparation and review of submissions, documentation of high level roadmaps, understanding of business cases
- Engagement of governance bodies to facilitate/present project funding requests
- Development of best practice project tools and coaching of project managers and business analysts
- Preparation/review of management packs for various bodies and committees

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- 10+ years projects experience
- Previous projects experience in both business and IT projects
- Business documentation experience (roadmaps, scope, timelines, steering committee packs, management reporting)
- Must have financial Markets products exp. (FX, Fixed Income Rates, Commodities, Equity Derivatives, Capital Markets) or broad Institutional Banking experience
- Risk, Front Office, Middle Office, Operations exposure an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills, including the proven ability to liaise effectively with a range of internal stakeholders
