Senior IT Business Analyst

Our client is a high-visibility financial business looking for a Senior Information Technology Business Analyst who will be responsible for managing the development, enhancement and implementation of applications and application upgrades for Member Firm systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and manage the product development life cycle for Information Technology (including requirements gathering, technical development and testing and end-user implementation).
- Analyze and match Member Firm needs against available applications. Provide system overviews customized to their needs.
- Develop appropriate migration or conversion plans and drive the implementation process.
- Assist with the system application development, implementation, support and business process modifications using IT project life cycle methodology.
- Assist with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide Technical Support for Member Firm systems.
- Manage efforts of internal, consulting and vendor resources to address phases of standard maintenance, application updates and issue resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business or computer related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) years of related, progressively-responsible work experience
- Experience in life insurance and/or financial services a plus
- Experience with business process analysis and design
- Demonstrated project management skills including a proven ability to keep track of, prioritize and report status of multiple projects and initiatives
- Expertise in using Excel, specifically with data manipulation
- Strong working knowledge of PC skills: Windows XP, Microsoft Office operating systems and applications (2003 and 2007), Active Directory, Group Policies and Internet Explorer
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to follow through on tasks
- Proven ability to work with changing requirements/priorities using internal and external resources
- Highly professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, Member Firms, carriers and vendors
- Must be available for after-hours support and weekend work as needed and for moderate travel (50%)
