Senior IT Analyst - Investment Banking Experience Only

Caspian One require a Senior IT Analyst for a contract position within a Tier 1 Investment Bank in central London.

The vacancy sits within the Detailed Sub Ledger (DSL) analyst team within Finance IT. The team is responsible for ensuring the IT designs correctly meet the business requirements.

Responsibilities:

The role will require you to liaise with Finance to understand the business requirements for the project and ensure the business life cycle is clearly documented. Prioritisation is key to this role and it will be your responsibility to ensure the tasks are prioritised accordingly. As a Senior Analyst you will be required to contribute to the overall functional architecture - including data flows, populations, timing, logical data models and seeking cross asset class consistency.

The role will also require you to liaise with the IT Development team to ensure the technical architecture designs correctly implement the requirements and functional architecture. You will need to address any issues raised by the IT Development team.

The role requires you to liaise with the QA team to help create and review test plans and test cases to ensure all requirements are properly interpreted and help determine the remedial action for defects discovered during testing.

Lastly, the role will require you to produce a number of project documents including functional architecture, designs and specifications, traceability matrices and test cases with expected results.

Essential Requirements:

Detailed knowledge of relevant financial products - specifically Listed Derivatives and Equity OTC's

Understanding of the development life cycle

Previous Investment Banking experience in a similar position

Proven ability to assimilate complex business problems and resolve ambiguous information into clearly articulated specifications.

Proven experience of working and sustaining strong working relationships with end users, technologists and project managers.
