Senior IT Analyst

Summary:
Deployment of mining technologies solutions to customers located primarily in North America.
Responsibilities also include, system validation, providing project tracking and project updates to stakeholders.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required. Significant previous IT experience required, system deployment experience.

Skills and Competencies:
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Expert ability to work independently and manage ones time. Expert knowledge of computer software, such as Java, SQL, etc.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Setting up system test environments, testing the complete system installation procedures, perform systems implementation at customer sites, continuous process development improvements, project management, communication of project status, technical support, minor Scripting, troubleshooting and system validation and check-out.
Manager will stagger starts every couple weeks to not bog his team down with new agency employees.

Key Relationships/Duties
External Customer's Dealers: Work with dealers to facilitate the delivery Office systems. Provide technical support on products. Customers: Provide pre-sales technical input; generation and delivery of demonstration material. Carry out systems implementations at site.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
3-5 years experience performing system implementations and providing technical support for a complex system.
Knowledge in various project management principles, processes, and tools.
Demonstrated strong organization skills
Understanding of ITIL service management
Motivated self-starter capable of working with others to get problems addressed quickly.
Ability to create process documents
Systems integration knowledge
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows), database systems (Oracle), programming or Scripting languages (Java, Python)
Well-developed communication skills, and an ability to develop strong partnerships and effective relationships with customers from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Challenges
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the product range.
Travel, with up to 75% in peak periods
Most of the system installations are above ground mining applications but there are few sites that will require an underground system implementation.
Providing on-call support.

Travel Requirements
Up to 75% travel to remote locations.
