SENIOR INTERNAL CONTENT MANAGER

On behalf of our client, a leading global company in Zurich, we are looking for a Senior Internal Content Manager, with proven experience in internal communications. For this contract position based in Zurich, Switzerland, our client is looking for an English-speaking candidate (any further languages, especially German, are an asset) who can start as soon as possible. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

- Drive employee engagement around key strategic messages thanks to compelling, engaging content tailored to the company's internal structure
- Manage the stewardship of internal comms on a global basis, including coordinating all activities
- Measure the impact of internal communications and identify ways to maximize impact based on data
- Sponsor and shape the direction of development projects for ABB's corporate Intranet site
- Manage guidelines for organizational announcements to ensure their consistency across the company
- Manage the development and distribution of organizational announcements that reflect the appropriate messaging
- Manage the publication and communication of quarterly financial results internally, along with relevant executive messaging
- Provide strategic and operational support for change initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and crises
- Coach key communicators in businesses and countries to ensure internal communications goes beyond information and awareness
- Provide guidance and appropriate tools to Internal Communications specialists globally on the creation and distribution of executive messaging throughout the organization
- Appoint and brief suppliers, agreeing managed spend, budgeting and cost control

WHAT BACKGROUND IS REQUIRED?

- University degree in communications, journalism or related field preferred
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in internal communications, corporate communications or a closely related field, ideally in a global Matrix-type organization
- Talented writer, able to creatively bring stories to life in ways that are relevant for employees and across all media, including audio-video
- Strategic thinker with strong consulting skills, able to partner with all levels of management to develop and execute effective communications strategies.
- Self-starter with a strong commitment to internal customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work on several large projects concurrently, often under pressure, and to prioritize accordingly
- Experienced with digital communications and social media, preferably with internal social media and community management, a plus
- Fluent in English, other languages a plus
- Comfortable in a fast-paced global environment with constantly changing priorities
