Senior Internal Auditor

Robert Half Management Resources are looking to engage with an Interim Senior Internal Auditor for a central government organisation in South Wales.

THE ROLE

Our client has a large Audit Programme underway with a delivery date of the end of December 2015. We are seeking to engage with an experienced Internal Auditor with a sound understanding of central government frameworks. You will work alongside the Head of Internal Audit and be responsible for the delivery of specific audits, development of the substantive team, and ultimately the improvement of communications between the Internal Audit team and end users.

Key duties will include:

- Carrying out audits ranging from fundamental systems and processes to complex financial audits.
- Identifying audit risks and appropriate means of addressing those risks.
- Evaluating internal control systems and associated risk and concluding on reliability of controls.
- Making appropriate recommendations and presenting to management.

YOUR PROFILE

- Qualified Accountant
- CIIA/MIIA qualified
- Extensive Internal Audit experience
- Public Sector background advantageous

Interim Senior Internal Auditor based in South Wales. To start w/c 21st September 2015, initial 3 months initial contract, pay rate £300-£350 per day DOE (via Ltd Company).
