Job Title: Integrated Power Systems Engineer (IPS)

Job Type: Contract

Location: Boscombe Down

Integrated Power Systems Engineer (IPS) required for a leading global defence company based at Boscombe Down. To be responsible for the safe and effective conduct of specific test and evaluation tasks relating to military aircraft, weapons, vehicles and equipment within the project teams.

Integrated Power Systems encompasses the appraisal of Electrical Power Generation and Distribution Systems (EPG&DS) to include the following aspects:

. EPG&DS Performance Characteristics

. EPG&DS Equipment

. Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems

. Armament Electrical Systems

. Standby Power Systems including battery technologies

. Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems

. Motor Drives

. Electrical Load Analysis

. Sound knowledge of Technical Governance

Must have:

Recognised aerospace qualification - at least HNC level

Sound knowledge in the specific Specialist Technical area

Technical experience throughout the air vehicle life cycle

Ideally would have:

Engineering/Electronic degree

Incorporated/Chartered Engineer

Experience of working in or with MoD and the Services at senior level

Customer interface experience in an Aerospace organisation

Technical leadership competence in an Aerospace organisation

Supplier interface experience in an Aerospace organisation

Must have:

Ability to make sound Technical judgements in the specific specialist area

Good team player

Ability to work well under pressure
