Senior Inspection Engineer

Progressive Global Energy are working with a world leading oiul and gas organisation looking for a senior inspection engineer.

Working on some of the most interesting and ground breaking projects, you will form part of the main asset focal point for planning, scheduling and implementing inspection workshops

The Onshore Inspection Engineer reports to the Asset Integrity Engineer, and is based within the onshore asset onshore support team. There is also close interface with the integrity specialists within technical delivery group who support the wider asset base.

Key responsibilities :

* Maintenance of the integrated inspection plan
* Specification of inspection resources to complete the planned inspection workscopes
* Review and verify competence of all third party inspection resources provided to site
* Amend planned workscopes and schedules in response to changing operational requirements and priorities
* Monitor/expedite inspection backlog and assess impact and implications of deferring planed inspections
* Review inspection reports for topside equipment, structures and pipelines in conjunction with discipline engineers
* Review and evaluate inspection and materials related technical queries
* Assist to expedite close out of all integrity related actions
* Participate in corrosion risk assessments
* Provide input to risk based inspection schemes and integrity risk assessments
* Provide status reports
* Conduct site audits of inspection activities

Qualifications, skills and experience:

* UKAS RG2 Category 1 / Chartered Engineer (or working towards Chartered Engineer status)
* Demonstrate relevant industry experience
* Practical experience of inspection planning, supervision and execution
* Practical experience in managing and planning concurrent operations across a number of locations or work fronts
* Demonstrate sound understanding of risk based inspection methods and tools
* Plant inspection qualification such ASME or CSIP
* Thorough knowledge of design, manufacturing, materials, corrosion, welding, codes, standards and legislation associated with the in-service inspection of plant and equipment
* Familiar with QA/QC practices and current health and safety legislation
* Strong analytical skills with ability to investigate and interpret data
* Strong and confident interpersonal and communication skills
* Offshore survival and medical certificates or be willing to attain
