Senior Infrastructure Technical Lead (Windows)

MY CLIENT IS SEEKING A SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNICAL LEAD FOR A 6 MONTH CONTRACT BASED IN THE SYDNEY CBD.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 5 - 7 years experience in large-scale IT infrastructure build and support environments.
- Understands the business objectives and products within the Finance Industry and has had an exposure to business units, business processes and systems

The following skills are highly advantageous to this role:

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Windows MCSE accreditation
- Technical knowledge & experience in the following core disciplines:
- Microsoft Server O/S
- Microsoft Clustering
- BladeCentre Hardware, Management and Network Technologies (HP, IBM)
- Storage Technologies ( SAN,NAS,iSCSI), Connectvity,
- Backup systems (TSM, Netbackup)
- SQL server, SQL Server Clusters, SSIS, SSAS, SharePoint
- Active Directory with multiple domains
- DNS/DHCP/WINS/Name Services
- TCP/IP Networking principles
- McAfee AV, HPSIM, IBM Director
- Knowledge of the following technologies would support your application:
- Firewall configuration
- Switch and Router configuration
- Device drivers and peripheral support
- Scripting

STRONG BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL MARKETS KNOWLEDGE:

- Three years experience in a financial organisation, preferably in Institutional Banking
- ITIL accreditation would be an advantage for this role.

MANAGEMENT/PEOPLE SKILLS:

- Strong negotiation and influencing skills especially when dealing with business and technology units and vendors
- Delivery and quality focused
- Articulate and effective communicator
- Experienced in facilitating work across teams (eg Infrastructure, Compliance, Risk) in order to deliver
- Participate in a team environment, supporting other members, sharing knowledge and contribute to a positive outcome to the team's performance
- Follow things through and gets things done

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor Degree in an appropriate discipline, or evidence of ability combined with relevant prior experience.
