JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION:

Ensuring the protection of information and information resources. Provides information security consulting on moderate to complex projects. Provides day-to-day information security maintenance and ongoing information security auditing. Requires multidisciplinary approaches and collaboration with project team, business users and partners in accordance with audit guidelines and business needs.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Acts as a project team member on medium to large-sized projects in defining security and technical considerations and deployment activities
- Assists in incident response and recommends corrective actions as a core team member on the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT)
- Assists with the development and delivery of information security training and awareness program and materials
- Collaborates with business unit partners to provide analysis of security requirements
- Communicates with users and management on potential threats to the information security environment
- Conducts research and implementation of leading computer security and protection technologies for the protection of mission-critical data
- Conducts technical risk evaluations of hardware, software and installed systems and networks
- Develops access control models and roles
- Leads testing of installed systems to ensure protection strategies are properly implemented and functioning as intended
- Participates in the development and maintenance of global information security policy, standards and procedures for multiple platforms and diverse system environments
- Partners with business units and vendors to develop and implement technical solutions for information security
- Recommends preventative, mitigating and compensation controls to ensure the appropriate level of protection and adherence to the goals of the overall information security strategy

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

- Development and delivery of technical, information security concepts to technical and non-technical partners through training and awareness programs: 6 years
- Business application technical design and analysis: 5 years
- Progressive experience in information security: 5 years
- Knowledge of information security best practices, such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization )/IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) 17799 and ISF (Information Security Forum) The Standard of Good Practice for Information Security: 4 years
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to identify and implement system and process improvements
- Ability to implement training programs
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment drawing on the expertise of all team members to deliver projects
