SENIOR INFORMATION ANALYST, NHS, MS OFFICE, STATISTICS

Senior Information Analyst required for my NHS client. The Senior Information Analyst must have experience of statistical packages for example SAS, SPSS. The Senior Information Analyst must have experience of databases and be able to interpret results from analysis using ME Excel to manipulate outputs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Ideally NHS experience.
o Strong analytical and requirements gathering skills

Interpretation of results-
o Be able to Interpret results from the analysis, apply the results to the given problem and suggest conclusions to be drawn

Presentation of Results-
o Able to present and explain results of analysis via written and verbal communication
o Able to produce coherent publication material integrating a variety of outputs

Experience of MS Office applications-
o Be able to produce, format and manipulate outputs in MS Excel.
o Experience of using a statistical package, eg SAS,SPSS
o Good working knowledge and experience of databases
o Good working knowledge of spreadsheets, with experience of making use of their wider functionality (eg formulae)

Data Management-
o Understanding of the reference data necessary to produce meaningful analyses of data.
o Ability to establish good working relationships across different areas, bringing in others where necessary to achieve cross-cutting objectives
o Ability to manage a small team and prioritise own and staff's work in line with organisational priorities
o Basic keyboard skills

Information Provision-
o Able to use analytical tools to provide statistical aggregates and tabulations in response to discussions with customers
