Senior Imagery Production Technician

The Senior Imagery Production Technician is responsible for delighting our customers by delivering first-time-right satellite imagery, video, and information products. Essential responsibilities include tracking high priority orders throughout the production life cycle, applying basic image processing techniques, image product quality inspections, and workload management collections captured from our HD satellites. The successful candidate is someone who has an operations mindset, a passion for pixels and the information they provide, and can work effectively in a small organization with rapidly changing priorities and a constant sense of urgency.

Responsibilities:

- Create Skybox imagery and/or information products within established timeframes
- Provide oversight to daily work queue and generate operational reports to track key performance indicators and detailed custom product delivery reports as needed
- Provide accurate product delivery services and daily interactions with our customer success team
- Report product challenges and generate system/tool enhancement requests in to effort improve service consistency and to continuously improve end-user experience
- Evaluate and address customer quality issues and take the necessary corrective action steps to ensure future service disruptions will be avoided

Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years' experience in an imagery production environment or a remote sensing operation that required imagery inspection, interpretation or pixel processing
- Hands-on experience in using one or more of the following toolsets: ERDAS IMAGINE, ENVI, proprietary remote sensing software, ArcGIS, QGIS or similar commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) GIS software packages preferred
- Experience generating operating instructions on process flows and business practices
- Some familiarity with software programming languages, for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes
- Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
- Proven project management skills and written and oral communication skills
- Track record of working cross-functionally, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced operations environment
- Ability to see in color is mandatory
