Senior ILS Engineer

Essential Skills and Experience:
The Senior ILS Engineer skills shall be aligned with the following SFIA skill sets with minimum
proven 5 years of experience in similar effort:
Sustainability assessment:
o Experience in leading the introduction and managing the measures to assess and report
on sustainability and the impact of conservation activities.
o Experience in ensuring that the effectiveness and accuracy of the monitoring actions is
kept under review, and that appropriate improvements are made
Sustainability engineering:
o Experience in investigation and recommends components and subsystems that meet
sustainability criteria
Testing:
o Experience with responsibility for creation of test cases using own in-depth technical
analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency,
usability, maintainability and portability).
o Experience in creation traceable records, from test cases back to requirements.
o Experience in producing test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and
amended software or services.
o Experience with specification of the requirements for environment, data, resources and
tools.
o Experience with interpreting, executing and documenting complex test scripts using
agreed methods and standards.
o Experience with recording and analysing actions and results, and maintaining a defect
register.
o Experience in reviewing test results and modifying tests if necessary.
o Experience in providing reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with
the overall project.
o Experience with reporting on system quality and collecting metrics on test cases.
o Experience in providing specialist advice to support others.
Availability management:
o Experience with contribution to the availability management process and its operation and
performing defined availability management tasks.
o Experience in analysing service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and
serviceability.
o Experience in ensuring that services and components are met and continue to meeting all
of their agreed performance targets and service levels.
o Experience with implementing arrangements for disaster recovery and documents
recovery procedures.
o Experience in conducting testing of recovery procedures.
Asset management:
o Experience in controlling of IT assets in one or more significant areas, ensuring that
administration of the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement and disposal of assets is
carried out.
o Experience in producing and analysing registers and histories of authorised assets
(including secure master copies of software, documentation, data, licenses and
agreements for supply, warranty and maintenance), and verifying that all these assets are
in a known state and location.
o Experience in checking that there are no unauthorised assets such as unlicensed copies
of software
Language:
English language proficiency to any of the following levels/certificates:
o CEFR C1 (Evidence will be requested)
o TOEFL - Score of 110-120 (Evidence will be requested)
o IELTS - Band 6 (Evidence will be requested)
Or Bachelor's Degree or Higher from an accredited Institution in which program of study has been
