POSITION DESCRIPTION:
SunGard Financial Systems provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry. The primary purpose of these systems is to automate the many detailed processes associated with trading, managing investment portfolios and accounting for investment assets. These solutions address the processing requirements of a broad range of users within financial services, including asset managers, traders, custodians, compliance officers, treasurers, insurers, risk managers, hedge fund managers, plan administrators and clearing agents. In addition, we also provide professional services that focus on application implementation and integration of these solutions and on custom software development. The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP) acts as the primary HR services contact and partner for business leaders and their employees located in SunGard business in UK. The HRBP will be based in London and will report into the HR Director, while leading a team of 3.

Responsibilities

- To develop and maintain good working relationships with senior management in the designated business areas to promote good HR practices.
- To work with line managers to advise and handle employee relations issues
- To provide information, advice and guidance to employees on company policies, procedures and benefits.
- Work with the business on performance management, mobility, salary review and bonus plan processes, deliver training as required.
- Proactively work with colleagues in the HR community across Europe to develop new initiatives and working on specific projects as requested.
- Assist with due diligence for potential acquisitions and with the integration of employees into SunGard following acquisitions
- Work closely with the EMEA HR team on Pan-European HR initiatives.
- Manage a team of three HRBP's

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Extensive HR generalist experience in a fast moving, dynamic environment
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices with a solid track record in managing/advising on sensitive legal issues as well as considering the impact of new legislation and devising new HR policies and procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills - credible at senior level and able to challenge the status quo
- Experienced People Manager with proven track record in leading, coaching and developing direct reports
- Manage change effectively within team through regular, effective and timely communication.
- Strong user skills of HR systems and Microsoft office programs
- Proven experience at HR Manager level
- Ability to work under pressure and comfortable with ambiguity This is a one year FTC maternity cover. Candidates must be available to start work immediately or a maximum of one month notice.
