Senior HSE Manager Urgently Required - Aberdeen

As the HSE Manager you will be required to implement the company Health, Safety and Environmental management system/policy.

You will also be responsible to ensure that all statutory legal HSE requirements are identified and implemented and to facilitate the step change in safety performance and behaviour at Aberdeen plant.

Key duties / responsibilities of this role shall include but will not be limited to:

Assessing legislative requirements and where appropriate developing policies and procedures to ensure effective implementation.

Providing HSE training to

Leading the on-site COSHH assessment team, Environmental team and Incident review team

Facility security lead

Facility 14001 environmental lead

Provide incident review/near miss reporting system

Developing and maintaining HSE audit schedule and performing the audits.

Raising corrective actions when non-conforming conditions are detected and ensuring effective corrective / preventive action is implemented

Developing programs to ensure that the vendor community implements effective HSE policy

Develop and present HSE statistics for management reports

Provide specific HSE support to major client contracts.

Provide specific HSE support to internal customers.

Be responsible for the management of one to two HSE specialist or equivalent.

Qualifications Required :

The required minimum qualification level for the job holder is the satisfactory completion of a recognised qualification in Health, Safety or the Environment E.g. NEBOSH National General Diploma Part 1 or equivalent. .

Experience / Skills Required:

Ability to understand and interpret the requirements of the national and international health, safety and environmental legislation

Excellent interpersonal skills particularly effective influencing

5 years plus working in a similar role in manufacturing, engineering or oil/gas background

Experienced in delivering training courses to a wide range of employees

An effective communicator at all levels; written and spoken word.

Self motivated and able to expedite work to its conclusion without supervision.

Committed to the concept of zero accidents and HSE incidents and work effectively with others to achieve this target

An Experienced and Qualified auditor
