Our client is one of the world's most successful finance services seeking a SENIOR HR SYSTEMS ANALYST for a premium contract opportunity. Must have experience with SaaS and externally hosted HR solution management. Experience with Workday HCM strongly preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Visio; proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.

Located in Foster City, the Senior HR Systems Analyst works within the Corporate and HR Systems team, and participates in technology delivery projects and support in collaboration with Human Resources business partners and various IT teams. The HR application portfolio includes Workday HCM, SaaS, externally hosted and internally hosted package solutions.

The Senior HR Systems Analyst collaborates closely with HR business partners in Foster City, CA and Austin, TX to understand business goals and identify problems that may be effectively resolved with technology solutions. Candidate can sit in either Foster City or Austin.

The Senior HR Systems Analyst provides solution selection, project delivery, supplier management, 8x5 application administration, and user support services to business users of these systems. Works with business users to provide process support and coordinate timely and effective resolution to questions and issues associated with the HR applications. Independently follows up to document and research technical issues, and coordinates issue resolution with solution providers and other IT teams. Works with team members to ensure SDLC processes and documentation are completed with quality, and on a timely basis. Contributes to solution selection and requirements elaboration; responsible for assigned design, configuration and testing deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in the management of various SaaS and hosted applications, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and initiating corrective actions; develop solutions to system technical issues and systems process issues.
- Understand and adhere to defined SDLC processes, including policy compliance, documentation, solution design, configuration management, testing and approvals.
- Understand and ensure adherence to customer service level agreements for HR systems.
- Facilitate business collaboration in problem definition, business case development, solution selection, requirement elaboration, design, testing and deployment.
- Participate in the development of unit and integration testing plans, testing scripts, enhancements, custom modifications and interfaces.
- Provide, or require responsible parties to provide, root cause analysis for any systems or process issue; ensure remediation plans are devised, discussed and agreed up that result in permanent resolution of issues.
- Clearly explain a relevant IT solution to business partners or staff, including how it is deployed, how it is used, where it fits in the overall IT architecture, and where it fits in the IT systems strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Requires a minimum of 10+ years progressively responsible experience in application administration, development and support
- Requires a minimum of 5+ years progressively responsible experience with SaaS and externally hosted HR solution management
- Experience with Workday HCM strongly preferred
- Experience working in a multinational environment very strongly preferred
- Experience working effectively with business and IT staff in multiple locations
- Proven experience in business process analysis, eliciting and elaborating business requirements, and drafting system design specifications; strong follow-through, ability to drive to closure and resolution of complex system issues
- Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to absorb, analyze, and understand new information, technologies and practices quickly
- Advanced knowledge of MS Visio; proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of project management, SDLC, risk management, quality engineering
- Exceptional communication and customer facing skills, able to interact effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders, both technical and business users
- Proven ability to manage multiple activities of varying complexity while prioritizing and focusing on critical tasks and issues
- Active listener, customer focused, relationship builder, team player
- Ability to absorb, analyze, and understand new information, technologies and practices quickly

Duration of assignment: 12 months with possibility of extension.
