Our Client who is a well-known household name that could fit within the Public and Private sectors, currently has two High level HR Business Partner opportunities, which will be based in London.

Initially a 3 month opportunity paying great rates!

Our client is currently going through a high-end transformation throughout the whole business and this has resulted in various internal restructuring within the HR department.

THE NEED FOR THIS ROLE:

To work in partnership with business and HR colleagues, delivering the people aspects of the organisation, in particular through organisation design and development, change management, employee relations, diversity and learning and development. To act as a trusted advisor to one or more Directors and their senior team and to be an integral part of the directorate senior team making an equal contribution to the formulation of their business strategy.

The core day to day duties of this role include:

- To own the customer relationship and be the conduit for HR activity within the Directorate
- Develop and articulate the directorate people plan aligned to the Post Office and Directorate Strategies including a high level, resourcing & succession, learning & development and diversity plan.
- Drive and support the directorate lead teams in the implementation of the people plan ensuring alignment with Post Office People Strategy.
- Work with the HR Expert teams to create and execute the People Plan for the function, and challenge and influence the tools provided by the expert teams to ensure customer base is engaged with offering.
- Identify effective solutions to meet the strategic aims of the business to plan and scope HR initiatives, interventions and projects that support these aims and to ensure their effective execution. As appropriate sponsor, lead and manage projects, ensuring that limited HR resource is prioritised to meet the key elements of the directorate's people plan
- Be responsible for any organisational change plan for the directorate, ensuring alignment with Post Office wide organisational change, accurate diagnosis of the directorate's organisational needs and the design, implementation, monitoring and review of appropriate HR interventions to meet those needs.
- Lead, in liaison with the relevant HR expert team, the development of an enhanced approach to line management/leadership within the directorate through a mix of coaching and design of divisional interventions
- Work with relevant customer base and HR Expert teams
- TO DEVELOP THE EMPLOYEE RELATIONS STRATEGY FOR THE DIRECTORATE/DIVISION AND TAKE THE LEAD IN ORCHESTRATING NEGOTIATIONS AND CONSULTATION FOR EFFECTIVE CHANGE MANAGEMENT.
- To participate in senior leadership team recruitment and selection working closely with Recruitment.
- To influence and contribute to the Post Office People strategy and policy formulation and be responsible for the implementation within the directorate, galvanising views and owning the collective position - 'signing' off decisions.
- In partnership with wider Post Office HR teams ensure effective working within the HR 3 box model to deliver, translate and ensure effective implementation of best practice HR policies and processes driving engagement with directorate customers.
- Diagnose the root cause of functional or directorate capability and capacity gaps, developing and driving appropriate interventions.
- Drive and promote employee development interventions to develop capability and talent with a focus on coaching and challenging the Leadership population to be role models and to own people activity within their areas
- To challenge, guide and lever the organisational effectiveness of training and development priorities, ensuring that career progression and succession plans are proactively managed and supported.
- Coach and challenge directorates to operate effective performance management approaches to create a high performance culture within Post Office
- Champion the effective implementation and on-going reviews of engagement action plans following staff engagement surveys to ensure interventions are owned and delivered by directorate lead teams
- Role model and drive business values and behaviours at all times
- Work effectively with senior leadership teams to create an environment where the Post Office values and the Post Office's strategic agenda can flourish.
- CIPD or equivalent also preferred
