SALARY: £30,000 TO £35,000 DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE PLUS EXCELLENT FLEXIBLE BENEFITS PACKAGE

LOCATION: READING OR HEMEL HEMPSTEAD

ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to further advance their career within an exciting and diverse business.  You will gain exposure to a broad spectrum of HR matters and projects, giving you access to many career developing opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The team of HR Advisors are the first point of escalation for our HR Helpdesk for management of more complex queries, being specifically responsible for their own business area. They provide advice and guidance to Managers for specific cases, such as long term absence, disciplinaries and grievances. They also support specific projects which have an impact on employment terms (eg office moves, restructuring programmes etc).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Good understanding of general UK employment law; experience of dealing with HR and ER matters in previous roles
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise what will be a busy Inbox, and ability to prepare and manipulate Excel data
- You will be excellent at prioritising a busy workload, able to field and resolve important queries, and remain calm and practical in handling day to day challenges.
- The role requires common sense, a pragmatic approach to managing ever changing situations and an empathetic approach.
- The role engages daily with an offshore delivery team so experience of dealing with remote colleagues will be helpful.
