Senior Highways Engineer

SENIOR HIGHWAYS ENGINEER - PUBLIC SECTOR

I AM CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR A SENIOR HIGHWAYS ENGINEER ON BEHALF OF A COUNCIL BASED IN LONDON. 

THIS IS A CONTRACT ROLE THAT WILL RUN FOR AN INITIAL 6 MONTH PERIOD, WITH A GOOD CHANCE OF BEING EXTENDED BY A FURTHER 6 MONTHS. 

JOB PURPOSE

- The post holder will be a senior member of the Highway Major Projects Team and will act for the Highways Major Projects Team Leader in his/her absence, familiarising himself/herself with all aspects of the Team's work.
- Take a significant and leading role in the design, implementation and project management of various highway and traffic schemes including organising the various highway condition surveys and the collection of data, prioritising works programmes, providing estimates for budgeting purposes and arranging for and supervising works.
- Take full responsibility for defined areas of work.
- Make a significant contribution to the work and development of the team and assist with it's day to day operations and management.
