Senior/Hardware Engineer

Hardware Engineer - Permanent - Thames Valley A new opportunity has arisen for a Hardware Engineer to join a well established growing SME based in the Thames Valley region. Due to increasing projects, we are looking for a Hardware Engineer who is well rounded, enjoys being hands on and willing to take on a lead role. You will join a small team of software engineers and lead product development through prototype into manufacture. Requirements: * degree educated in electronics engineering or relevant discipline * minimum 7 years commercial experience in hardware design * embedded systems product design and development * board level design (analog/ digital/ PCB) * firmware design/ programming in embedded C * good problem solving abilities * full product development lifecycle experience * proven experience in group or task leading * control systems background (beneficial) This is a great opportunity for a senior level hardware engineer looking for more responsibilities or looking to make the next move into a lead role. You will lead the team to develop their next generation of products and contribute to the roadmap for future products, as well as be in a customer facing role. Part of your role will be to help grow the team. The company adopts a small, close-knit environment and likes to promote from within where possible. As such, if you prove yourself in this role there will be plenty of opportunities for promotion going all the way to technical manager and board member in the future.
