Senior Frontend Javascript MVC Developer - Dublin

The successful candidate will be working in a fast moving and growing software development team, capable of demonstrating an enthusiastic approach to learning new technologies and skills.
Reporting directly to the Development Manager, the Senior Front End Developer is a core member of the IT Business Partner Team.
- work in an agile team environment in the design and execution of web and mobile products
- work on business critical applications, supported by a team of technical experts.
- provide technical leadership and direction to colleagues and customers on various aspects of the IT environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- Develops the Front End user interface code
- Follows engineering best practices; writes automated unit tests for code
- Define code architecture decisions to support a high-performance and scalable product with a minimal footprint
- Liaise between UI/UX and development team to help align on technical issues, needs, expectations and dependencies
Experience and skills required
- 2.1 or higher in a related discipline from an academic institution; Masters a plus.
- 3-8 years of experience developing professional web applications with JavaScript
- Advocate of Front End development standards, design patterns, and best practices
- Experience with client side MVC Frameworks specifically AngularJS
- Experience with developing Hybrid Mobile Applications (HTML5, CSS3s,PhoneGap)
- Experience with local development tools (node.js, NPM, Grunt, Bower)
- Interactive Front End Engineering experience with Bootstrap
- Experience with Agile and test-driven development
DESIRABLE:
- Background in retail financial services and CRM
- Experience with continuous integration (Jenkins) and version control ( Git)
- Familiarity with Behaviour Driven Development and Jasmine testing framework
