Senior Front End (Facilities) Engineer (EOR)-Houston, Texas

Informed decision-making as to whether and how a project should be matured to the next phase. Key deliverables include various scope-defining documents, as well as cost, schedule and risks for the concepts.

* Identify and coordinate surface discipline skills, including discipline engineering, project services, operations readiness, HSSE and project engineering, making use of dedicated and distributed resources (in the business units/and in other P&T organizations) and liaising with stakeholders
* Integrate the surface development concepts with subsurface development concepts (including wells), to ensure consistency of assumptions and delivery of the optimized, overall development concept
* Prepare for a smooth transition to the Project Manager. This includes providing support to the Project Manager Designate, supporting contract strategy development, managing and executing specialist studies with external consultants/contractors, and identifying the benefit of procurement and fabrication of long lead items
* Regularly interface with Project Leaders, Subsurface Engineers, other P&T staff, contractors, and business unit staff. The engineer shall also have key interfaces with external parties including state and federal regulatory agencies; indigenous/local individuals and groups, and service providers

Business Impact:
* Participate in the planning and delivery of the appraisal and field development plans. The Engineer does not have direct staff accountabilities. The engineer will not have direct budget, but is responsible for defining and executing studies and/or consultancy services typically ranging from $30K - $20 MM

Requirements:

* A Bachelor's Degree and solid technical background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Solid experience in developing and/or delivering EOR/IOR projects (e.g. miscible gas injection, water flood or chemical technologies)
* 8 years experience in engineering in the upstream oil and gas industry with broad experience in onshore and/or offshore projects
* Skilled in upstream and front end engineering

A background in various aspects of EP project execution - FEED, design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning and start-up is a plus
