Senior Front End Developer

SENIOR FRONT END DEVELOPER

My client, who provides quantitative services for financial clients worldwide are currently looking for an experienced Front End Developer. You will use your skills within JavaScript and React.JS to create cutting edge web applications for portfolio management, risk calculation and financial data analytics.

TASKS

- Build prototypes to help support and build high quality robust products
- You will be responsible for designing and building front-ends for multiple projects
- You will liaise with clients to identify requirements

SKILLS

- At least 3 years working experience in web development, preferably in financial sector
- Experience in representation and visualization of financial data and analytics in web applications
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6), and popular JS Frameworks/technologies (React.JS, Vue, Redux, Web Components, etc.)
- Solid understanding of modern web development concepts, eg Responsive Web Design, web applications, Single Page Application, communications with Back End, REST etc.
- Passion for User Experience and ability to create graphical design for web applications
- Exposure to data visualization (D3, etc..) and reactive programming is a plus
- Know-how to set up development, testing and production environments
- Solid understanding of software development product life cycle (JS testing, CI etc.), practices and tools

GOOD TO HAVE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

- Experience in development for mobile platforms is a plus
- Language skills: English (professional proficiency)

EDUCATION

University degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Applied Sciences
