Senior Front Arena Developer - London - Long Term Contract

Caspian One is working with a Asset Management firm, who are looking for a Front Arena developer for a contract role to take technical responsibility for the investigation, analysis, specification and design of simple and complex systems. This will include getting involved in the development of architectural direction and solutions, constructing the systems in line with the spec and ensuring the programs achieve error-free results. Support/administration of the system will follow. Working closely with Quants and the business.

Key skills needed for the role are as follows:

-  Experience in developing/administering Front Arena

TECHNICAL SKILLS (MANDATORY)

- Exposure to Python, Front Arena, AEL, AFDL, Prime, 3.xTrack
- Understanding how to create and manipulate XML and HTML documents

TECHNICAL SKILLS (DESIRABLE)

- Understanding of SQL Server (or similar RDBMS) including database design, stored procedures, data triggers, building SSIS packages
- Understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP Get/Post
- Exposure to .NET technologies (C#.NET preferable)
- Exposure to web technologies (eg SOAP, CGI, ASP, IIS)
- Development within Excel (VBA macros, formulae, pivot tables)
- Experience of Subversion and/or Microsoft SourceSafe
