Senior Fixed Asset Accountant Job

SENIOR FIXED ASSET ACCOUNTANT needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

- Fixed Assets and depreciation
- Pharma industry experience
- Accounting

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets
- Assign tag numbers to fixed assets
- Review and update a process to track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those once the related projects have been completed
- Review and update a process to track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations
- Oversee the physical inventory counts of fixed assets
- Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of
- Check for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub ledger
- Review and update the process for asset disposals and movements
- Evaluate and direct the organization and maintenance of fixed asset documentations for references.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum seven to ten (7 - 10) years' experience in Fixed Asset Accounting in a Manufacturing environment. Pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Advanced Degree a plus.
- Experience with fixed assets and depreciation
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with system implementations
- Experience in Microsoft Excel is required

- Current knowledge of multi-entity, multi-national operations and intercompany transactions
