Senior Financial Analyst (Peoplesoft)

Provide technical and functional support to the finance and IT feeder communities related to all Projects and Inter-Company Billing related processes and tools. Assist with the work prioritization of enhancements and provide functional support to the Finance group by assisting with the design and configuration of the inter-company billing process and tools.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Provide PeopleSoft application support for book close process, allocations, financial transaction data validation and inter-company billing.
- Perform configuration management and implement system fixes, updates and enhancements by working closely with IT, Corporate Accounting and the Finance Community
- Facilitate business process improvement through the use of technology
- Coordinate changes that impact other financial systems such as budgeting/forecasting, fixed asset accounting, Tax, inter-company billing and various external feeder systems
- Maintain required documentation to support Sarbanes Oxley controls and audit requests
- Prioritize and direct the work of the IT Tech Support Team to meet business requirements and deliverables.

SKILLS:

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

- Minimum: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or computer science
- Minimum of 4+ years experience in accounting, financial reporting, public accounting or financial system related roles
- Minimum of 4+ years experience working with PeopleSoft Financials applications in a support role with responsibility for troubleshooting issues and designing/configuring/testing change requests
- Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact with and team with all levels across many areas of the Company Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity

- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and technology
- Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls & SOX compliance

REQUIRED PROFICIENCIES:

- PeopleSoft General Ledger, Allocations, Projects, Contracts, Billing v8.9 or higher PeopleSoft Query Tool Microsoft Office 2010 applications including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Visio

PREFERRED:

- MBA in Finance, Accounting or Systems CPA/CFA or other financial certification
- Multiple upgrades and implementations in PS Financial
- Utility industry experience
- Hyperion Planning
- Hyperion Reporting
- SQL
