DESCRIPTION

Sr Financial Analyst

Manages and analyzes monetary resources and affairs within an organization.
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients.
May also be responsible for conducting technical accounting research as needed. Prepares and maintains supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Updates and collects business unit reporting packages, helps prepare ad hoc financial reporting as necessary.
Perform financial planning and analysis, including budgets, forecast, long range planning and variance explanations.
Conduct the monthly Regional Allocation calculations
Responsible for more complex multi-faceted projects and analyses across disciplines and functional areas.
Assists in developing performance monitoring process and coordinating compilation, interpretation and presentation of monitoring information.
May be responsible for budget system completion, high level reviews and conducting area wide analyses for target development.
Conducts or participates in complex projects where analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of factors.
Prepare accruals and supporting documentation.
Build business cases supporting new initiatives and work to realize projected benefits.

REQUIREMENTS

BA in Finance or Accounting required plus minimum 8+ years of direct relevant experience. Strong analytical skills
Advanced MS Excel
Excellent communication/people interaction and listening skills
Someone who can come in a take over an existing process, then help out where needed.
Regularly contributes to the development of new financial analysis concepts, techniques, and standards.
Expert proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheet applications, including advanced functions such as graphics, pivot tables, macros and database management.
Thorough knowledge of financial analysis policies, practices and systems.
Extensive knowledge of several or all of the following: general finance theories and methodologies, discounted cash flow analysis, cost/benefit analysis, feasibility studies, large scale business planning, financial modelling and project management.
